Needs ROS in notes

For the 5th star: Include ROS as a separate category under notes, and charge a buck more! Include those "a with a bar", "c with a bar", and others derived from Latin. Theyre in the screen shot but not in the app. Reverse lookup would earn another dollar or two. Great way to finance your education! Always keep in mind your patients welfare (26 years in practice). Even when you just dont know, you can still help by caring.

Love it

I love it! Just a Lil slow to open the app .

Great app! Waiting for more

This has been great as a dental student as well taking the MD classes. A couple suggestions: Symbols need to be added like the one that Drs write on scripts (the capital T with the dot over it). This could be on a separate section (like the favorites section) labeled symbols. 2. I agree that it needs to go the oyer way to search for words that can be abbreviated (like searching for the abbreviation for benzodiazepines and having tge result being the abbreviation for it (BZD). Otherwise this would be a perfect app with a perfect price.

Useful but

Great if it was free but for $$ it lacked some basic Latin used in Rx and hospital orders

Its good

U need a way to put in the dif. To find the abbreviation.

Most common definition first

Two things. I did search for a very common abbreviation. om, which in most cases is otitis media. It came up but I didnt know that. It was the last definition. Suggestion: Put the most common abbreviation first in your list. Also with your search, dont differentiate between small and caps. It can be a minor nuisance to remember to put the caps on. Otherwise, this app is better than some Ive seen and your price is extremely reasonable. Most abbreviation books cost $14 and up.

Md

Decent app, especially for the price. For the abbrviations with a bar, dont do a search. They are found at the end of the alphabet so look on the main page, scroll to one past the letter youre looking for eg d if you are looking for c bar, then scroll up and its there. Would be nice if you could search "c bar" though.

This app is amazing

Im not a dotor but eventuly I will be hopefully,so I got this app because it looked interesing,so I got and it is well worth the $0.99 cents.

Nice app

Great app for the price. Large variety off abreviations and definitions. It would be nice to be able to mark the definition that im interested in. Also it would be nice to enter a definition and be able to look up the abreviation.

Minim listing of Med Abbreviations

This is a relatively good listing of abbreviations specific to medicine. However, there tend to be more omissions than you would expect for a paid app. The database is severly lacking depending on the specialty such as Ob/Gyn. My biggest gripe is that you cant add your own abbreviations. This seems pretty intuitive for a paid app given some people make up their own abbreviations. This has to be in the next update, dont buy this app until that feature is added or else youll be regreting the purchase.

Good app

Good app, useful, but the last update was long time ago, so 3 stars. Could let users set the search page as default?

Internet connectivity

I have been using this app for over an year now and have been waiting for an update that will allow me to look up definitions using 3G and not having to connect via WiFi. Anyone who has legit AT&T service will be able to connect to the internet via 3G, why is this not enough connectivity to access wikipedia or google? I think this is a major fault for this application, especially given that it is a paid app. I also agree with the previous review stating that we should be able to add our own abbreviations. I understand that medicine is gearing away from abbreviations and that every institution has its own preferences but when it comes to iPhones, convenience is the name of the game.

Good

Easy and nice

Good app...finally found one what it doesnt include

Been using this app for 3 years. Helpful for when doing chart biopsies, trying to interpret the abbreviations the Joint Commission doesnt want us to use. Finally found one it doesnt include though: LADA, Latent Autoimmune Diabetes of Adulthood.

Needs Work!

The app crashes every time the right pane (a quick link to specific letter in the alphabet) is used. The listing is far too comprehensive to use without its use. It renders the app far less useful.

Cant use anymore

I would have given this app 5 stars before the last update. Since then, this app crashes every time you select a letter on the right side, and Ive been waiting on a fix for a very long time. So, for now, Im giving this app 2 stars, because its basically useless to me at this point.
